What a busy busy day yesterday!! My morning started off with a trip to Jackson Elementary in Linn County where they were awarded with money, along with three other elementary schools in the area– Erskine, Garfield, Van Buren, from the Iowa Department of Public Health as they had participated in a Walking School Bus Pilot Program. It was announced that in partnership with the Cedar Rapids Blue Zones Project, Jackson and Erskine will continue with a permanent Walking School Bus in the Fall. In Johnson County, Twain and Horn Elementary have plans to continue in the fall as well. Can’t wait to see all these plans grow into something great– HEALTHY AND HAPPY CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.
